UBIMET, you will play a key role in evolving our DevOps environment, driving automation, containerization, and modern deployment practices. You will work closely with development teams to improve our infrastructure, establish efficient processes, and ensure the reliability and scalability of the platforms behind our weather services.

Your role — Lead and evolve our DevOps infrastructure

  • Drive the migration of our existing VM-based environment towards containerized and orchestrated infrastructure using technologies such as Podman, Kubernetes, and Elastic.

  • Develop and improve automation and deployment processes using GitOps and infrastructure-as-code.

  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and efficient software delivery.

  • Work closely with software developers to improve how applications are developed, deployed, and operated.

  • Take ownership of our Linux-based infrastructure and self-managed Kubernetes environment.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve system performance, reliability, and security.

  • Document technical solutions, configurations, and processes and share your knowledge with the team.

  • Help establish and further develop DevOps practices and standards across the organization.

Job requirements

What you bring — Your profile

  • Several years of professional experience in software development, DevOps, systems engineering, or a comparable technical role.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux and hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration, ideally Podman and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with on-premise infrastructure, self-managed Kubernetes clusters, and infrastructure-as-code, ideally Terraform.

  • Good understanding of CI/CD, Git, and modern software delivery practices.

  • Strong interest in automation, operations, and improving developer workflows, combined with a solution-oriented and hands-on mindset.

  • Fluency in English; German is a plus.

Salary

The annual gross salary for this position starts at €62,557.74 in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Depending on your experience and qualifications, we offer a significantly higher salary, with typical salaries starting at €70,000 gross per year.
