Senior DevOps Engineer (all genders)

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux Operating Systems, container orchestration, and automation, with ambitions for leadership in their career. You should be able to manage on-call shifts and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Migration of our current VM stack to containerized environments using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Design, implement, and manage automation processes for our infrastructure to enhance efficiency and reliability (GitOps)
  • Maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, reliability, and security issues.
  • Participate in on-call duty rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure issues
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure effective knowledge sharing and compliance

We are looking for candidates with dynamic and success-oriented personalities who have:

  • Expert knowledge of Linux Operating Systems (Debian flavors preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and willingness to learn and document new knowledge and skills within confluence
  • A professional and friendly way of cooperating within the team and colleagues from other technical and non-technical departments
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Leadership and team management skills for a potential progression to a team deputy role
  • English fluency, German is a plus.

We would like to point out that the minimum salary for this position is EUR 3.928,57 gross per month. Significant overpayment is possible, depending on qualifications and experience. On-call duty is compensated by an hourly surcharge.
