Your future responsibilities:


  • Co-lead the development of advanced machine learning models within a meteorological context.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of large datasets and identify complex weather patterns.
  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of meteorologists, data scientists, and software developers.
  • Ensure seamless integration of machine learning and AI technologies into existing meteorological systems.
  • Diligently validate and continuously monitor forecast models, as well as perform comprehensive modeling of meteorological processes.

Job requirements

What you need to be successful: 

  • Proven expertise in data cleaning and accurate prediction of meteorologically driven variables (e.g., wind and solar energy) using leading AI/ML technologies.
  • A degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Physics, or a related field.
  • Solid programming experience in Python, with extensive knowledge of applying open-source ML libraries (such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch).
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong team orientation and outstanding communication skills to effectively collaborate in a dynamic environment.

For legal reasons, we would like to point out that the minimum salary for this position is EUR 3.774,13 gross per month. Significant overpayment is possible, depending on qualifications and experience.
